How do we work?

1. Initial no-obligation visit

We find that it is usually best for us to visit you first with no obligation. This way you can decide whether you are comfortable using us and we can assess the work properly. We will agree a time to suit you - usually an evening or weekend when you are at home.

An initial visit may not always be necessary - for example, when you have a small job that is clearly defined such as hanging a mirror.

2. Quote

We prefer to quote for the work so that the costs and scope of the job are agreed before going ahead. We clearly identify labour and materials costs.

3. Schedule the work

After you give the go-ahead we will agree a date for the work to start. We will then dedicate our time to completing the job unless we are unavoidably delayed e.g. by having to wait for a new part.

4. Completion and payment

Once we have completed the work to your satisfaction we will request payment by cash, cheque or electronic bank transfer.

5. Continuing Support

If you are unhappy with our work we will come back and correct the problem free of charge.

 

 



Mr Handy is a family-run business and our aim is to provide you with a flexible and personal handyman service.

We have the skills and tools to undertake a wide range of tasks (click here for more details) which means you don't need to organise several tradesmen. We are happy to tackle those jobs which are too small to be of interest to a specialised tradesman.

We are friendly and reliable and turn up when we say we will. Our working hours are 8am-8pm Monday to Saturday so that we can fit around your schedule.
